Eicher Tractor Price List in India September 2026 — All Models

Eicher tractors come out of Alwar in Rajasthan and have been in the Indian market since 1959. The brand is now part of TAFE, and TAFE's combined share with Massey Ferguson was 17.4% of FY2025-26 India domestic dispatches.

Eicher's audience is the cost-conscious farmer in Rajasthan, MP, Bihar and eastern UP who wants a plain, tough tractor without paying for features he will not use. All three models listed on Aglist — the 380, 485 and 548 — run three-cylinder engines and lift 1650 kg, which is generous for the class and the single most useful thing about them. The 380 makes 40 HP from 2500 cc at ₹5.88 lakh. The 485 steps to 45 HP from 2945 cc at ₹6.25 lakh, and the 548 pushes the same 2945 cc block to 49 HP for ₹6.79 to ₹7.60 lakh.

Warranty is inconsistent across the range and worth checking model by model: 2 years on the 380 and 485, but 6 years on the 548 with a 200-hour service interval. A 200-hour interval is short. Budget for more frequent oil changes.

Eicher's weakness is range. There is no 4WD, no mini tractor and nothing above 50 HP here, so an orchard grower or a 60 HP buyer has to look elsewhere.

What is the difference between the Eicher 485 and 548?

Both use the same 2945 cc three-cylinder block and both lift 1650 kg. The 548 is tuned to 49 HP against 45 HP on the 485, costs roughly ₹50,000 more, and carries a 6-year warranty where the 485 gets 2 years. If you run a 6-foot rotavator, the 548 is the safer pick.

Is the Eicher 380 enough for a 5 acre farm?

For five acres of wheat, gram or mustard on medium soil, 40 HP with a 1650 kg lift is comfortably enough. It will run a 5-foot rotavator, a seven-tyne cultivator and a small thresher. Where it will struggle is deep ploughing in black cotton soil or hauling a fully loaded 5-tonne trolley uphill.

Does Eicher make a 4WD tractor?

Not in the range we list. All three Eicher models on Aglist, the 380, 485 and 548, are 2WD. If you need four-wheel drive for wet paddy fields, hilly plots or heavy front loader work, look at Farmtrac, Kubota or the Mahindra JIVO 4WD instead.
