The Eicher 368 is a 38 HP 2WD tractor with a three-cylinder, 2945 cc air-cooled engine. Its configuration choices are unusually important to the quotation: the manufacturer offers alternatives for clutch, brakes, steering and shift position. Two offers carrying the same 368 badge need not include the same operating equipment.
Compare an equipment list, not just the headline price
The partial constant-mesh gearbox has 8F + 2R speeds. The specification lists single or dual clutch, centre shift with side shift optional, sealed dry-disc brakes with oil-immersed brakes optional, and mechanical steering with power steering optional. Ask the dealer to mark each fitted choice on the order and explain the clutch/PTO sequence. A low starting price cannot be compared fairly with a fully optioned machine without that list.
Keep PTO and remote hydraulics separate
The standard PTO point is 540 shaft rpm at 1944 engine rpm. Multi-speed and reverse PTO are optional, as is an auxiliary pump with spool valve. Neither should be assumed from a generic photograph. For a matched implement, check its PTO requirement and loaded geometry; the Category 2 linkage figure is 1650 kgf at horizontal lower links, not permission to mount any tool of that mass.
The listed 1755 mm width and 2020 mm wheelbase help plan storage and turns; the 2000 kg tractor weight is not a haulage rating. Air cooling still requires the prescribed airflow and engine service checks. Before handover, have the actual operator try the selected controls and request a locally supported service plan.
