We would buy the 855 FE for tillage and not much else. The 3478 cc engine with 205 Nm and 42.9 HP at the PTO pulls a heavy cultivator steadily, and 2220 kg keeps the front end down when the implement bites. The 437 mm clearance and the 1000 RPM PTO setting widen what you can hook up. Against that, be clear about what the weight costs. In a wet paddy field it compacts soil and it sinks, and on a small holding you are dragging that mass around for no return. The price is the second issue: at 7.87 lakh to 8.37 lakh it sits above the Swaraj 744 FE, which has slightly more rated horsepower, the same 2000 kg lift and the same 62 litre tank, for about a lakh less. Power steering is optional on the lower variants and the base gearbox is sliding mesh, so a badly chosen variant makes this an unpleasant tractor to drive all day. Spec it properly or buy the 744.
