VST 929 DI EGT 4WD Price October 2026
The VST 929 DI EGT 4WD is a 29 HP-category compact in the current Indian catalogue. Its linked Dual Track brochure describes a three-cylinder 1331 cc engine rated at 2800 rpm. This is the EGT model, not a 929 FENTM EX or VX. The brochure also covers a two-wheel-drive EGT, but the specification fields on this card follow the four-wheel-drive column only.
Keep the two drive columns separate
The 4WD column lists 22 PTO HP, Category I linkage and 860 kg without ballast. The adjacent 2WD column lists 25 PTO HP, Category I and II linkage, and a different weight. Choosing the largest number from each column would describe no real supplied tractor. Keep the drive version beside every specification on your comparison sheet.
For the 4WD machine, VST gives a 1520 mm wheelbase and 960–1080 mm overall-width range. Tyre alternatives appear in the same column, so the measured width of the delivered setting matters more than an isolated minimum. Ask for the approved front-and-rear pairing and check access with the attachment fitted.
More gears do not establish a shuttle transmission
The EGT uses a single dry clutch, constant-mesh transmission, side shift and 8 forward plus 2 reverse gears. That description does not establish a power shuttle or full synchromesh. During handover, ask the operator to demonstrate the prescribed stopping and clutch procedure, particularly if your work involves repeated reversing beside orchard rows.
The brochure lists 540 and 540E PTO modes. Both names require the correct engine setting for the intended shaft speed and load; economy mode is not a promise of fuel savings for every job. Use the PTO compatibility guide to prepare a supplier check of shaft connection, power demand and permitted operating mode.
Check the revised hydraulic specification
The currently linked sheet gives 1050 kg lift and a 25-litre fuel tank. Other listings still show 750 kg and different tank figures. This card follows the linked manufacturer document rather than blending those versions. Confirm the actual unit’s rating and attachment approval in writing, especially for a loaded sprayer whose centre of gravity sits behind the linkage.
Indicative price, not a configuration guarantee
Checked on 13 October 2026, TractorGuru advertises ₹5,32,980–5,80,920 ex-showroom for the 29 HP-labelled EGT 4WD in India, without a specific state. Treat this as a provisional market reference: its equipment table still differs from the currently linked manufacturer sheet. It does not confirm the price of the exact updated package. Obtain a dated district quotation with the lift specification, tyres and included equipment, and itemise applicable on-road charges separately.
Sources and delivery checks
The VST India catalogue and its linked model brochure were checked on 13 October 2026. Specifications can change; obtain the actual unit’s equipment sheet, operator manual, warranty and service schedule. Ask the district dealer about filters, brake parts and implement support before paying. This is a source-based buying guide, not an owner review or measured fuel-economy test.
