Honda WB40XD Price November 2026

Price on requestex-showroom

Honda WB40XD is the 100 mm connection, high-volume surface-pump option in this comparison. Its four-stroke GX200D petrol engine and full frame suit consideration for bulk transfer from a suitable open water source. Larger connections also mean larger hoses to buy, move and support. The useful question is whether the entire installation delivers the needed water within the available pumping window.

What the Indian specifications establish

The live Indian page lists 196 cc displacement, 35 kg dry weight, 38 kg operating weight and a 3.1 L fuel tank. The pump has 100 mm suction and discharge ports, a published maximum flow of 1750 L/min, a 20 m total-head figure and 4 m suction head. Operating mass is not the same as a complete transport load with hoses and accessories.

The official leaflet’s curve slopes downward as flow rises. It does not show maximum discharge being maintained at the headline head. A promotional sentence on the page pairs those figures, so obtain the curve-based duty in writing rather than relying on that sentence. The leaflet also prints 4.3 kW maximum engine output, while the current page lists 4.1 kW net output; these labels and figures are not silently merged into one horsepower rating here.

Choose for the water route

For a large open-tank transfer, check source replenishment as well as pump capacity: a falling source level changes suction conditions. A long narrow delivery pipe can undermine the reason for buying a large-port pump. Have the supplier assess the real pipe diameter, length and fittings, and demonstrate delivery under representative conditions. Do not infer suitability for dirty water or solids from the large port size alone.

Compare it with WB30XD when the required volume is lower, and with a higher-head design when elevation or outlet pressure dominates. Keep the strainer and approved suction arrangement in the purchase specification. The self-priming label does not cancel the manual’s filling procedure or permit dry running. See the pump head and flow guide for a site worksheet.

Indian price reference

Honda India showed ₹37,599 MRP including all taxes for WB40XD on 7 November 2026. This national indicative reference is not an on-road or site-delivered total. Budget separately for correctly sized hoses, couplings, delivery and commissioning, with a local itemised quote. Sources: Indian product page and manufacturer leaflet, which carries an older printed date. No guaranteed runtime or field fuel saving is inferred.

Verdict by the Aglist editorial desk

Shortlist it for a verified bulk-transfer duty with suitable large hoses and source supply; check the paired head–flow result before purchase.

Honda WB40XD — What works / What to watch

What works

  • 100 mm ports; full frame; published curve and separate dry/operating weights.

What to watch

  • Large hose handling adds work; maximum flow is not available at every head; power labels differ across sources.

What farmers use it for

Best for: Bulk water transfer where the source and complete pipe route have been checked.

Honda WB40XD — Frequently asked questions

Can WB40XD deliver 1750 L/min at 20 m?

Do not treat the two headline ratings as one duty. Use the declining manufacturer curve and obtain confirmation at the required head.

Is 35 kg the complete load to carry?

It is the stated dry pump weight. The page lists 38 kg operating weight, and hoses and other accessories add to the transport load.

Is ₹37,599 an on-road price?

No. It is the tax-inclusive national MRP shown by Honda India on 7 November 2026, not an installed or delivered total.
