Honda CRH35-80 is an Indian HI+ crop-harvester package built around a straight shaft, U-handle and toothed cutting disc. It is a handheld cutting machine, not a combine or a wheeled conveyor reaper. For a small holding, the buying question is whether its complete harvesting attachment suits the crop and operator while leaving a workable plan for gathering and threshing.

Verify the named harvesting package

Honda India lists an 80-tooth disc with 305 mm cutter diameter, double shoulder straps, automatic centrifugal clutch and trigger throttle. The official leaflet identifies a GX35T four-stroke engine at 35.8 cc and 1.0 kW, or 1.3 hp, at 7000 rpm. Its fuel tank is 0.63 L. The product page uses the broader GX35 engine name; confirm the delivered type and manual.

This is a separately named manufacturer package, not a renamed UMK435T U2NT. Sharing engine displacement does not establish the same shaft, guard, blade approval or warranty. Order CRH35-80 by its full identity and require the complete approved harvesting attachment. Do not assume that buying a loose disc converts another brush cutter into this model.

Carrying and crop-handling checks

The Indian leaflet gives 8.7 kg dry and 10 kg operating weight, with dimensions of 1940 × 680 × 490 mm. Keep the weight basis attached when comparing tools. Have the intended operator try the properly adjusted harness and controls during a supervised demonstration. A published operating weight does not prove comfort for a full day or suitability for every operator.

Ask the supplier to demonstrate the approved crop and stalk conditions, the attachment’s handling of cut material, the exclusion zone and the stopping procedure. Compare acceptable cut quality and collection effort, not just how quickly a blade passes through stems. Follow the exact manual before clearing or servicing the head. No field-capacity, labour-saving or fuel-per-acre figure is claimed here.

India price and alternatives

Honda India’s homepage labelled ₹24,499 as CRH35-80 MRP on 8 November 2026; the detailed page showed the same amount without an explicit tax statement beside it. Treat this as an indicative national reference and obtain a tax-and-delivery quotation for the exact blade, harness and guard package. It is not an ex-showroom tractor or on-road price. Compare a conveyor reaper when walking behind a machine and windrowing the crop better suits the job.

Consider the complete CRH35-80 package after a representative crop and operator trial, with collection and threshing arranged separately.

Honda CRH35-80 — What works / What to watch

What works

  • Named harvesting package; 80-tooth 305 mm disc; double shoulder straps and published dry/operating weights.

What to watch

  • Operator carries the machine; cutting does not complete threshing; blade compatibility cannot be inferred from engine size.

What farmers use it for

Best for: Small-scale crop cutting where the approved handheld package and manual crop collection are practical.

Honda CRH35-80 — Frequently asked questions

Is CRH35-80 a combine harvester?

No. It is a handheld crop-cutting package. It does not replace the separate gathering and threshing stages.

Is 305 mm the daily field coverage?

No. It is cutter diameter. Actual work depends on crop, operator, cut quality and handling of the cut material.

Can a disc alone turn another cutter into CRH35-80?

Do not assume so. Require manufacturer approval for the entire shaft, cutting attachment, guard and harness combination.
