The choice between a rasp bar and a spike tooth cylinder is the most useful thing on this spec sheet, and most buyers do not think about it hard enough. Spike tooth suits pulses and gram where you want aggressive rubbing action. Rasp bar is kinder on wheat and paddy grain. Get that decision right at the time of order, because changing your mind later is a workshop bill. Ground clearance of 415 mm is second only to the Kartar 4000 here, which is reassuring in a MP black cotton soil field that dries slowly. Where we would push back is the price. ₹29.00 lakh for a 100 HP four-cylinder is roughly ₹7.50 lakh more than the base Kartar 4000, which has two extra cylinders, the same 14 ft cut and a bigger fuel tank. You are paying for build quality and for the crop list, not for horsepower. The 240 litre fuel tank is the smallest of the big machines here and will force a midday stop on a long contract day. If your season is wheat and paddy only, cheaper machines do that job.
