VST 95 DI Ignito Price November 2026
The VST 95 DI Ignito is a diesel power tiller with self-start and recoil starting, aimed at buyers who need a powered walk-behind machine rather than a seated compact tractor. VST’s Indian catalogue identifies 9 HP and 418 cc. Starting convenience is useful, but it does not establish that the operator can handle the machine comfortably through your soil, turns and access path.
Specify the rotary assembly
The Indian brochure describes 6F + 2R transmission and rotary widths of 340 and 540 mm. Ask which assembly is included and what changes are needed to use the alternative. Working width and overall width answer different questions: a narrow cultivated strip does not prove the complete machine clears a crop row.
Check the route from storage to the field, not only the working patch. Plan loading with the complete machine weight supplied by the dealer; the engine or rotary component weight is not the transport weight. Ask for a controlled demonstration of steering, braking, stopping and reverse selection with the intended attachment. Electric starting does not remove the handling demands of a tiller.
Price evidence has a regional limit
VST’s Indian power-tiller page, checked on 25 October 2026, displays ₹1,59,497 for this model in a Tamil Nadu scheme-labelled approved-MRP table. It is a regional reference, not a current nationwide ex-showroom quote, an on-road total or proof of subsidy eligibility. Obtain a dated local quotation for the complete rotary, wheels, battery and delivery package; do not subtract an assumed subsidy.
Compare it with the larger VST tiller only after a demonstration establishes what additional width or power your job needs. No hourly output or fuel-cost advantage is assumed from diesel fuel alone.
