This is the most demanding implement most farmers will ever hang off a tractor, and the HP figure tells you why. A rotavator only tills. A super seeder tills through wet paddy stubble while metering seed and fertiliser behind the rotor, in a narrow window when the field still has moisture in it. At 65 HP you are at the bottom of the range and you will feel it in heavy residue. We would want 70 HP or more for an 8 ft machine, and a tractor with a healthy PTO clutch, because this is the work that finishes worn clutches. The money question is different from most implements. At 2.50 to 3.24 lakh this is expensive, but the CRM scheme covers 50 to 80 percent for eligible buyers, and individual purchase without that subsidy is hard to justify unless you are custom hiring across several hundred acres. The alternative worth comparing is a happy seeder at roughly half the price, which does less tillage and leaves more mulch.
