This is the four-row High Speed Planter in John Deere India’s dedicated brochure. It is distinct from the compact MP1004 mechanical planter: the selected machine is listed at 490 kg with Category II hitch and hydraulic row markers. Do not transfer MP1004 tractor requirements or prices to this configuration.

Choose spacing before comparing speed

The brochure lists row-spacing settings of 40, 45, 60, 65, 80 and 90 cm, with seed and fertiliser hopper capacities of 100 L and 200 L respectively. These are volume figures, not kilogram ratings. Its 7.0 km/h maximum planting speed is a ceiling, not proof of accurate placement in every seedbed. Request a demonstration with your seed lot and inspect skips, doubles, depth and closure before selecting travel speed.

Specify the delivered row units

The brochure shows conversion between four and three rows. Order the row count, crop plates, markers and supplied adjustments explicitly; conversion does not make every spacing suitable for your crop. Independent row units are useful only when their movement and settings suit the field. Check hydraulic marker operation and loaded hitch capacity. The PTO-power row lacks a unit, so obtain written tractor compatibility rather than reading it as engine horsepower.
