We rate the Balwan 500 as a haulage and general tillage tractor rather than a serious implement carrier, and the spec sheet supports that reading. Four cylinders and a synchromesh trans axle make it pleasant on the road, the sealed oil immersed brakes will outlast dry ones on trolley work, and 43 PTO HP from 50 is a fair conversion. The weak number is lift. 1450 kg is well behind every other 50 HP tractor in this comparison: the Powertrac Euro 50 and Solis 5015 E both lift 2000 kg, the Indo Farm 3048 lifts 1800 kg.
