The New Holland Simba 20 4WD is a compact option for buyers whose limiting problem is access and small-implement matching. The number in the name is not its engine rating: the Indian manufacturer specifies 17 HP from a single cylinder. Compare it with the larger Simba 30 only after identifying the power, working width and loaded mass of the attachment you actually need.

Check access with the actual wheels and implement

New Holland lists 9F + 3R side-shift transmission, oil-immersed brakes and ADDC hydraulics with a 750 kg lift rating. Its advertised 28-inch track option must not be treated as overall tractor width. Ask what the track measurement refers to, which wheel setting is supplied, and measure the widest point of the assembled machine.

For orchard spraying, check the route with the intended tank and its loaded weight, not just an empty frame in the yard. A hydraulic lift figure does not certify a full sprayer or its stability. During a dealer demonstration, assess the working gear and the room required to turn with the attachment. Four-wheel drive does not remove these constraints.

Indicative price and handover

The TractorKarvan listing gives ₹4.04–₹4.54 lakh ex-showroom for the 4WD version. This is an India-wide indicative reference checked on 24 October 2026, not a district offer or on-road total. Get the wheel setting, accessories and applicable delivery, insurance and registration charges itemised.

Specifications follow the Indian manufacturer page. Ask for the operator manual and an explanation of the fitted PTO settings before attaching equipment. This is a specification-based assessment; no field output or fuel-consumption result has been measured.

Verdict by the Aglist editorial desk

Shortlist it for a measured compact route and a verified small attachment, not because the badge suggests more power.
