The Mahindra OJA 3140 offers 40 HP in a three-cylinder 4WD configuration with 12F + 12R gearing. It belongs on a shortlist when the job needs more engine output than a smaller compact tractor, but access and attachment loading still limit the choice. A higher HP figure does not automatically provide a larger lift allowance.
Power rises, but check the same lift ceiling
The official table lists a 950 kg hydraulic lift, the same headline figure shown for the smaller OJA 3132, and a 12.4 x 24 rear tyre. For a mounted sprayer, compare complete filled mass and rearward load position against the approved tractor arrangement. For cultivation or puddling, have the implement supplier confirm working width, depth and traction needs rather than choosing solely from the 40 HP label.
Demonstrate automation with your actual attachment
Mahindra describes auto PTO, electronic quick lift and auto implement lift among the features. Request a demonstration of which functions the offered package actually includes and how they behave at turns. The table identifies 540/750 PTO; do not treat 750 as another name for 540E or apply it to an attachment approved only for 540. The operating manual and implement requirements decide the permitted setting.
